I started this one sitting in my car while my laundry was drying months ago. Decided to finish it after my friend sent me the <a href="http://drhorrible.com/">Dr. Horrible</a> videos.<br /><br />I'm using a finger picking style that has been growing on me. Pluck the bass notes with the thumb then pull three of the higher chord notes. Combined with palm muting you can get some nice rhythm guitar sounds without going flowery.<br /><br />Used my standard method of coming up with chord changes I liked then humming melodies over them until I hear something I like. Trying to keep it simple and fast loading. I'm looking for a good user friendly web service to host free mp3 downloads. So far I like <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">iLike</span> the best with <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Jamendo</span> a distant second. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Garageband</span> is already set up but they don't make it easy to find the free download button for songs. If you have suggestions let me know.<br /><br />Wrote a song (the music part anyways) this morning that has a very <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Springstein</span> vibe to it. I'm finding it harder and harder to stick with the classic pop <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">ABABCAB</span> song structure. It is a great, reliable way to put a song together, just bored with it.<br /><br />I have a backlog of close to 50 songs now that are in a mix of states from complete melodies to half filled in lyrics. It is getting to be so many that I'm <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">definitely</span> starting to forget some. I'll bump into the chords for them months later and "oh yeah..."<br /><br />Ordered the upgrade for my recording software. After that's in I'll have to make the call on upgrading the recording computer too.
